The 25th anniversary of the DRESDEN-MARATHON promises a very special highlight: top German long-distance runner Hendrik Pfeiffer will compete in the Piepenbrock Half Marathon on October 26, 2025.

With a personal best of 2:07:14 (achieved in Houston in 2024), Pfeiffer ranks as the fourth-fastest German marathoner of all time. An Olympian (Tokyo 2021) and multiple-time winner of major marathons such as Cologne and Hanover, Pfeiffer is admired not only for his athletic achievements but also for his inspiring comebacks and dedication to the sport.

In the latest episode of the podcast Einer rennt Einer hinterher, Pfeiffer discusses his goals for 2025 and shares his excitement about racing in Dresden. He is joined by Stefan Paessler, a member of the DRESDEN-MARATHON organizing team, who offers exclusive insights into the course, the event weekend, and the collaboration with Pfeiffer.

We are honored to welcome this exceptional athlete to our anniversary event. Whether you’re running alongside him or cheering from the sidelines – join us at the 25th DRESDEN-MARATHON and experience the thrill of running through the historic streets of Dresden!
